Nothing is earth shattering about any of the dishes served in this sliver of a building, yet the pocket-sized kitchen produces consistently delicious food. Hipsters adore it and for good reason: The owners are about the same age as the average customer (young), and from the signature duck confit pizza to the chocolate desserts, everything is perfect for an informal date. An eclectic crowd hangs out in the sexy little bar, where Adam Backmeyer woos them with his sure taste in wine and
up-to-the-minute cocktails. Why we love it: The building is impossibly cute and the food doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Must eat: Mussels in coconut soy broth; hanger steak with shallot demi-glace; baby chicken with tarragon verjus.
